All articles published in BulgNJ are available in full text on the journal’s website without embargo. Readers may:

  • Read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts;
  • Use the material for lawful scholarly and educational purposes.

No prior permission from the publisher or authors is required for non-commercial academic use, provided proper attribution is given.

Archiving & Preservation Policy

BulgNJ ensures long-term preservation of its content through the Public Knowledge Project’s PKP Preservation Network (PN) and regular backups of the OJS platform.

LOCKSS/CLOCKSS archive system

The journal enables the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) archival systems to ensure long‑term digital preservation of its content. Through these distributed preservation networks, the journal’s published materials are securely stored in multiple international repositories, guaranteeing permanent access even in the event of data loss or technical failure. This commitment ensures that all published articles remain available to the scholarly community without interruption.

Repository & Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their article (preprint, accepted manuscript, and published version) in institutional or disciplinary repositories, personal websites, or academic networks at any time, without embargo, provided that full citation to the original publication in The Bulgarian Numismatic Journal (BulgNJ) is included.

Readers are encouraged to read, download, print, share and distribute the published articles free of charge.
