Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text is not generated by AI tool or platforms, unless this is the subject of the study.
  • The submission file meets the requrements outlined in the Authors Guidelines.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); the position of all illustrations, figures, and tables is indicated in the text on a separate line.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are sent separately according to the Authors Guidelines.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets, and othe material provided with this submission.

Articles

This section publishes original research articles.

Coin Notes

This section publishes brief notes devoted to individual coin finds and special cases. Applies journal's default policy.

Coin Reports

This section publishes overviewing primary reports of newly discovered coin finds.

Reviews

This section includes reviews of newly published books and monographs in numismatics, or reports on recent scientific fora.

Numismatic Landscapes

Numismatic Landscapes publishes short reports on implemented numismatic projects, and initiatives in the field of numismatics that are outside the regular fora. 

Supplementary Series

The Bulgarian Numismatic Journal, Supplementary Series (BulgNJ Suppl.) is dedicated to conference proceedings and scholarly monographs in the field of numismatics.

The authors retain full copyright on the articles or other publications.

All materials are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License, under which materials may be distributed or reproduced freely, provided the original is unchanged and is quoted correctly.

Privacy Statement

The names, personal identifiers, and email addresses provided to the Bulgarian Numismatic Journal (BulgNJ) will be used solely for the stated purposes of the journal and will not be made available to third parties or used for any other purposes.

The personal data collected through the journal’s publishing management platform will be used exclusively for communication with authors, reviewers, editors, and members of the editorial board, as well as for informing and monitoring the processes of submission, peer review, editing, and publication of scholarly articles.

The Bulgarian Numismatic Journal (BulgNJ) guarantees the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the collected personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
