The text presents the results of metal analysis of the Deultum medallion bearing the name and portrait of Caesar Diadumenian, which some numismatists have declared counterfeit. However, the combined historical sources suggest the possibility that this numismatic object is in fact an authentic one. The measurement of its elemental composition is expected to provide further evidence in either direction.
