Abstract

In 2019, in the southern Viminacium necropolis (Više Grobalja site), the grave of an inhumed deceased (Grave G-2456) was discovered buried in a wooden coffin. Within the grave, four bronze coins of Constans and Constantius II with the same reverse legend were found. What makes this grave so special is the position of one of the coins on the right eye of the deceased, another one in her right hand, and two further coins in her left hand. This was the reason for conducting research on the remaining Viminacium graves in which coins had been found in the same positions.
